Ingredient
Iron
The Essential Oxygen Carrier
A well-absorbable source of iron that improves energy production, oxygen transport, and cognitive performance.
What is Iron Good For?
Ferrous Fumarate provides iron in stable, bioavailable form required for hemoglobin formation, oxygen delivery, and energy metabolism. It supports immune function, brain performance, and child growth.
Potential benefits of supplementation
- Prevention of low iron levels
- Enhanced energy production and fatigue reduction
- Increased oxygen transport for muscles and brain
- Improvements in attention and concentration
- Increased immune defence against viruses and pathogens
What is Ferrous Fumarate?
Iron is an essential trace mineral enabling red blood cells to transport oxygen throughout the body. Without sufficient iron, cells cannot produce energy efficiently, causing fatigue, weakness, and poor cognitive function.
Ferrous Fumarate is a salt form with high elemental content (~33%) and good tolerability.
Recommended Daily Dose
7 mg elemental iron (provides 50% EU NRV)
A 7 mg dose of elemental iron (as ferrous fumarate) provides 50% of the EU NRV for adults—sufficient for maintenance in healthy individuals and used in combination formulas.

Your Questions About Iron
What is Ferrous Fumarate?
A form of supplemental iron used to maintain and correct iron status, supplying concentrated elemental iron.
What are the benefits?
Supports red blood cell production, reduces fatigue, improves cognition, and strengthens immunity.
How does it differ from other iron forms?
Compared to ferrous sulfate, ferrous fumarate provides higher elemental iron concentration and may be better tolerated by some individuals.
Are there any side effects?
Iron supplements may cause mild digestive upset (constipation, dark stools). Taking with food often reduces discomfort.
Can it be taken with other supplements?
Yes, though calcium, caffeine, or phytates may reduce absorption. Vitamin C enhances absorption and is often paired with iron.
